Flying Unicorn January Kit "Carpe Diem" Part 1

Hi everyone! It is reveal day for the yummy January Kit of the Month at Flying Unicorn, “Carpe Diem”. This kit is just LOADED with so many yummy collections and the Off The Page Project is amazing. Today I am going to share 3 layouts that I have created using this kit. For the first two I have used the Pink Paislee Portfolio Collection. This is my grandson and he is going to be one in a few days….he is just too too cute.

I have done lots of masking, distressing, paint splattering and crazy stitching on this layout. I love all the little tags and extra pieces that come with this collection.

For this layout I have used the same collection and gone with the same style of page.

I used some of the packaging in the kit behind the photo and the clocks are fussy cut from more packaging.

For my third layout I have used the Basic Grey Serenade Collection. This collection also comes with tags and flowers and lots of embellishment pieces. I am telling ya this kit is loaded with yummy goodies. I did lots of distressing and masking on this one. I have added in a couple of chippys from my stash around the photo.

OK the title….Seriously? The story with this photo is my son just moved to this place not too long ago. Someone that lived there 5 years ago owned these horses that she just let go free. So now they just wander around and they stop by my sons place frequently for treats and to visit….how cute is that!

Well that is it for today. I will be back in a couple of days with more creations that I have made with this yummy KIT. Stop by the Flying Unicorn store for all your scrappy goodies! I hope that you all have a fabulous New Year’s!  Feel free to leave me some scrappy love comments, I love reading them ...take care and happy scrapping J

I could just gobble you up **Green Tara**

Hi everyone! Well Christmas is over and wow it was a busy one too. I got to visit all of my kids and grandkids…so great to see everyone…and see how excited all the kiddys were for Santa to come awwww. Today I have a layout to share of my newest grandson featuring lots of yummy Green Tara Products. The papers are by Kaisercraft and are from the Flying Unicorn store. It is titled “I could just gobble you up” and this is my cutie pie new grand son. I have used lots of Green Tara blooms and trims on this one and I have once again used a sketch from Scrapfriends.

I have used some Green Tara Ivory Cobweb trim behind the photo. This trim is just so much fun and has so much texture to it. I also have used in this small cluster some delicate Apple blossom and Cherry blossom flowers. The 2Crafty chipboard pieces are covered with Stampendous embossing enamel.

The large cluster is loaded with lots of New Green Tara goodies. I center flower is one of the new Pincushion flowers and I have also tucked in the new black-grey Primula and a Yellow Satin Rosette. The trims you can see here are the Natural Jute Ribbon and the cute little bow is Loop and Tassel trim.

Well I hope that you all have a wonderful New Year! Dont forget to swing by the Green Tara Facebook page for lots of inspiration. Thank you for all of your support though out this past year. Keep warm and stay safe. HUGGGS J

Just the 2 of us **SOUS - CT FLying Unicorn**

Hi everyone and TGIF….yippee it is another reveal day at Stuck on U Sketches! Today’s sketch is by Sandi Clarkson and I am in LOVE with it. Look at those yummy circles LOL! I have used my Dec Kit of the Month from the Flying Unicorn and lots of Dusty Attic chippys for this layout of my two grandsons.

I punched out some hexagon shapes from the papers, distressed them and added some gesso touches to them. The chippys are finished with gesso and then some Stampendous embossing enamel on them. I LOVE this stuff it’s so so cool with the flecks of gold in it.

Just a couple more close-ups of all the stitching, distressing and layers of goodies.

Well that is it for today. I would like with wish each and every one of you a great holiday season and the best in 2013!! Come on over to the Stuck on U Sketches blog and play along with us, there is lots of inspiration there. I hope that you all have a fantastic weekend! Sparkle in Her Eyes **CT Flying Unicorn**

Hi everyone! Wow only a few more days until Christmas...I bet all the kiddys out there are getting so so excited! I know I am, as I get to see all of my kids and grandkids. I am travelling to go visit them all. It will be a busy trip but so worth it to see everyone! Today I have a layout I have made with the Woodland Winter Collection from the Paper Company. This collection is just perfect for those winter photos that you have, and can be purchased at the Flying Unicorn store.

I did some masking with inks and gesso and added lots of stamping behind the flower clusters.

I also tucked in a Prima resin bird in the main cluster. They are one of my favs and are also available in the store.

I finished it off by adding some gauz and some plain chippys.

I hope that you all have a fabulous week, and I would like to wish eash and every one of you a fabulous Holiday Season. Stay warm and safe travels. Feel free to leave me some scrappy love comments, I love reading them ...take care and happy scrapping J

Flying Unicorn KOM - Part 3

Hi everyone and welcome! Today I have 3 more projects to share that I have created with the Flying Unicorn December Kit of Month - Ode to Yesteryear. This kit was so jammed packed and I still have some left over. My first layout is the one that I have done with a video showing how I have done the background. You can see the video in my Video tab up top. This 12 x 12 piece of cork came in the kit and I decided to use some Prima papers and embellishments from the Flying Unicorn store to finish it off. I have used the photos before but I give away so many of my layouts to my kids so this one is for me.

This next layout is a lift from one I did for Fabscraps last month. The photos are of my new grandson when he was just a week old.

All of the flowers and embellishments come with this kit.

The only things added from my stash are the twine and the gauze.

My last layout is my 2 grandsons, this is just too to cute…Mommy’s lil helper awwwww!

I have added in a few Dusty Attic chippys and Prima and Petaloo flowers, all from the store.

Look at all those yummy layers.

Well that is it for today. Don’t forget to stop on by the Flying Unicorn store for all your scrappy supplies. I hope that you all have a fantastic week! Feel free to leave me some scrappy love comments, I love reading them ...take care and happy scrapping J
