Fabscraps Summer CHA Sneak!

Hi everyone and welcome to my blog. Well I tell you this has been such a weird week. Got back from camping on Sunday to my lil town flooding big time. We had 4 Flash Floods as well here. So many people were evacuated, lots of my friends too. My house is fine. I am one of the lucky ones with no basement. We are not allowed to drink or wash dishes in the water here though…it’s just too nasty, but I have my travel trailer that I can take dishes out there to wash and have a quick shower. Thing are finally starting to look better as the days go by. So anyways…that is why I have been kinda absent this past week. And today I have SNEAK PEAKS for SUMMER CHA from Fabscraps. Their new summer collection is so so amazing. The papers are just so shabby and gorgeous embellishments and chipboard pieces to go with it. I have a layout and a tag to share today.

The title piece is just painted with gesso and the banner is chippys covered with paper. The frame around the photo is also a chipboard piece that is covered with the collection papers.

The collection also comes with all these cute little embellishment tags and I have added a couple to this layout.

The rosettes are also made with the collection papers…this collection is really just so yummy!

Next I made a tag with the same collection. The title, anchors and lighthouse are all chippys from the collection.

Ok that is it for today. I will be back with more sneaks soon…there is so much more in this collection to share! Oh yes and don’t forget about the FlyingUnicorn Blog Hop for one day only…July 2nd. There will be lots of amazing give aways and  you can also win a Tim Holtz Vagabond die cut machine…that is just an insane giveaway..YUMMY!  I hope that you all have a fantastic weekend! Feel free to leave me some scrappy love comments, I love reading them ...take care and happy scrapping J

Kelly *SOUS*

TGIF! Yippee it is Friday…and today is another reveal day at Stuck on U Sketches and another fun inspiring sketch to work with! I totally fell in love with this layout after I finished it and it is framed on my wall. I think all the black accents really pop on it and frame the photo perfectly. The photo is my sis in law when we did a wine tour last month.

I have used lots of Dusty Attic chippys with the Prima Almanac collection. The frame is painted black and I finished with some liquid pearls. I also made two ATCs from the collection papers and added them to the layout. Behind this ATC is also a DA ATC chippy painted white.

I added a title to the banner and some twine bows.

Here is the other ATC and you can see the machine stitching on this layout.

Close of the flower cluster.

Well that is it for today. Come on over to the Stuck on U Sketches blog and play along with us, there is lots of inspiration there. Everything for this layout was purchaced at the Flying Unicorn store, and I will add it to Denise’s chippy challenge for inspiration. I hope that you all have a fantastic weekend! CT Flying Unicorn - Teresa Collins

Hi everyone! Right now at Flying Unicorn there is a big sale on all Teresa Collins collections, and I have few projects to show that I have made with these yummy Teresa Collins Collections. First up is my layout that I did this week using the Mojo Monday Sketch. I have used the Linens collection and must say this would be perfect for Heritage layouts as well…such rich colors.

The title pieces are velum and from my stash, really old. I used Martha Stewart punches for the strips and some Dusty Attic chippys. The chippy is just painted black and I added a bow, some twine and liquid pearls to it.

On the doily I have used a LaBlanche stamp and added a round chippy. I used some of the new Ranger Enamels on this chipboard piece.

My next layout and card are with the Everyday Moments Collection. There are some really cool extras with this collection that are perfect for embellishing your projects. I distressed all the layers and machine stitched around them. The background behind the photo is done with gesso and some Tattered Angels Glimmer mists.

The banner is loaded with the collection extras.

My last project is an easel card. I added a bow with one of the collection brads in the center and the chippys are all from Dusty Attic, which I decided to leave them all naked.

Close up of the inside of the card.

Here is the card when it is set up and displayed. I actually gave this card to my hubby for his birthday this week.

Well that is it for today. Hurry to the Flying Unicorn store to stock up on all your scrappy needs.  I hope that you all have a fantastic weekend! Feel free to leave me some scrappy love comments, I love reading them ...take care and happy scrapping J

The Dress – Fabscraps

TGIF everyone! Today I have a layout that I have created using some of the new yummy Fabscraps Victoria Collection. I have done lots of distressing, machine stitching and punching on this one. The photo is my niece, just a gorgeous bride.

I used a Spellbinders die to cut the doily shapes from the collection papers. The cute little tags are also with the collection and I added some crinkle seam binding to them.

Close up of the machine stitching and liquid pearls I added to the cut doily.

This collection comes with so many matching chipboard pieces and this is one of them. I first painted it white then added some glimmer mists to it.

The gorgeous flowers are from Manor House and they just went perfect with this collection.

Ok that is it for today. I just got the new collection from Fabscraps and will be showing peeks of that soon. This Victoria collection is now available at the Flying Unicorn store. I hope that you all have a fantastic weekend! Feel free to leave me some scrappy love comments, I love reading them ...take care and happy scrapping J

June Kit – Ocean Breeze and Summer Skies Part 2

Hi everyone and Happy Hump Day! Wow I had a computer virus and was lost without my computer for photos to  update my blog...but I got it all fixed up now and ready to show you my OTP project that I created using the Flying Unicorn June Kit – Ocean Breeze and Summer Skies. This was fun to make and will be a gift for my daughter. It is really quite big too…about 13 inched tall. The two little photos are my grandson when we were at the beach in April and the shells, the drift wood piece and the seaweed were what I collected on the beach that day. I have used the Nature Garden collection, Dusty Attic chippys and lots of goodies all from the store here.

The chippy is first painted white then I used a script stamp on it and inked the edges.
  DSC_1707
Look at him…how cute is he huh hehe! The little beach sign actually came in last months kit and went perfect here.
  DSC_1708
The large cluster is on top of the small piece of driftwood I collected. I also added in some of the black netting from the Easter Ham LOL!

The outside of the box are covered with paper and I have inked and distressed the edges.

Playtime - *SOUS – CT Flying Unicorn – Fabscraps*

TGIF! Yippee it is Friday…and today is another reveal day at Stuck on U Sketches and another fun inspiring sketch to work with! I have used chippys and papers from the Victoria Collection from Fabscraps, all available at the Flying Unicorn store. My grandson just went on his first carousel ride at a local fair and when I saw this photo first thing I thought of was that chippy. I did lots of distressing, masking and machine stitching on this layout and tucked in lots of goodies.

The chippys is covered with white gesso, glimmer mists and rock candy crackle paint. I have also done some inking, stamping and added some liquid pearls to it.

For the title chippy I have used the same treatment. You can see the masking in the background behind it.

I used a Spell Binders foliage die for the leaves and added a few Dusty Attic blooms.

Well that is it for today. Come on over to the Stuck on U Sketches blog and play along with us, there is lots of inspiration there. I hope that you all have a fantastic weekend! Feel free to leave me some scrappy love comments, I love reading them ...take care and happy scrapping J

June “Ocean Breeze a & Summer Skies KIT” CT Flying Unicorn Part ONE

Hi everyone…It is reveal day for the June “Ocean Breeze a & Summer Skies KIT at the Flying Unicorn and believe me this kit is jammed packed with Prima Fairy Belle, BoBunny Country Garden and Kaisercraft papers….amazing flowers and embellishments and there is even shimmer paints and a wooden box that is about 13 inches tall for the OTP project. I have created so far 6 layouts and the OTP project, and I have more than enough kit ingredients for at least 4 more layouts. OK for my first layout I have used papers from the Fairy Belle Prima collection. Lots of fussy cutting and layers on this one. The photo is my grand daughter last month when she was visiting.

I just love the cute little butterflies and crystal swirls that come in this kit.

There is a gorgeous piece of lace in the kit and these amazing sheer blooms that I have added to the flower cluster.

There is also a rub on quote sheet in the kit. I have used them on many of my layouts.

The is a photo of my grandson…I love these types of photos, so natural. I have used the Kaisercraft papers in the kit for this one.

I did lots of fussy cutting on this one also. The large flowers are made with kit papers and my tattered flowers die.

This is actually my fav layout from the kit, the colors are just so beautiful. I have added in a couple of Dusty Attic chippys that are available in the Flying Unicorn store.

My last layout for today is called BLOOM and the photos are of my flowers that I got for Mother’s Day this year. I have used the BoBunny Country Garden collection and I added in an ATC that received from a swap we had last month. Glenda made it and it just fit perfectly here.

Here is a close up of that gorgeous ATC and the white heart stick came with my flowers.

The flowers in the kit just went perfect with this layout. I have added in a couple of Dusty Attic chippys that are available in the Flying Unicorn store.

Well that it for today, I will be back soon with more creations from this gorgeous kit. Come on by the Flying Unicorn and join in on all the fun and games this month. I hope that you all have a fantastic week! Feel free to leave me some scrappy love comments, I love reading them ...take care and happy scrapping J
